The Chapman University Choir and University Singers present “A Concert for Peace.” Featured on the joint program will be original works of contemporary Black composers including Joel Thompson’s dramatic Seven Last Words of the Unarmed. This powerful choral cycle by the Atlanta-based composer uses as its text some of the final utterances of seven Black men, each killed by police or authority figures.
