Late 20th-Century Classics
Nicholas Isherwood sings a program of solo voice pieces from several of the great composers of the second half of the 20th century. Having known all the composers personally and worked with most of them, this is a chance to hear the music the way it was intended. From the Berio Sequenza for voice, the totemic piece of our time, to Stockhausen's HAVONA, composed for Isherwood, which describes the journey of the soul from earth (Urantia) to paradise, via the next to last stop (Havona), this is a musical voyage unlike any other. Expect the unexpected!
$10 general admission; $5 senior citizens 65+, alumni and non-Chapman students, and FREE for Chapman students, faculty and staff
