The Fall Career Fair is right around the corner, are you ready? Enjoy a delicious, free hosted lunch as we guide you through what to expect at a career fair and how to get as much out of the experience as possible. We'll discuss what to expect, how to plan your approach, professional conversations with employers, how to follow-up and more! After a general overview of best practices, we will be breaking into smaller groups for a deep-dive into companies attending so you leave the workshop with a target list of employers to meet.

The National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) research and developed a list of 10 Core Career Competencies that employers look for in their candidates and employees (Learn more at https://chapman.joinhandshake.com/articles/13749) In this workshop, you’ll be developing the following:

• Critical Thinking/Problem Solving

• Express ideas and thoughts to others articulately and clearly through written or verbal means.

*Invite your friends! This event has a minimum requirement of 10 students. If at least 10 students have not RSVP'd to the program by 4:00 p.m. 3 business days before the event, it will be canceled. Notifications will be made via email, and those that RSVP'd may either sign up for another upcoming workshop or schedule a private appointment with a career educator to cover the topic.*
