Pin-Ups, Playboy, and Manly Adventure: War and Sexuality in 20th-Century America
The panel will focus on African American pin-up girls in World War II, the role of Playboy in Vietnam, and men’s adventure magazines in the Cold War. There will be a wide spread of topics to discuss masculinity, sexuality, and the interrelationships between war and society.
