Nobel Laureate and Presidential Fellow in Peace & Justice Studies Nadia Murad will discuss the critical importance of providing both interim reparations and comprehensive reparations for survivors of conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV). Ms. Murad will be joined virtually by Esther Dingemans, who is a leading expert on developing and implementing survivor-centered programmes addressing CRSV.
As a survivor advocate, she will explore the steps necessary to address the urgent needs of survivors, the role of the international community, and the long-term strategies to ensure justice and accountability.
Nadia Murad’s tireless work as an advocate for survivors has reshaped global conversations about justice, human dignity, and reparations. This event will provide a platform for her to share insights on the progress and challenges in the implementation of reparative justice measures for survivors. Additionally, the discussion will highlight the work of the Global Survivors Fund and Nadia’s Initiative, two leading organizations dedicated to supporting survivors of CRSV and advocating for reparations.
