Science on Tap is a series of casual moderated discussions featuring experts who explore the intersection of science and culture. Science on Tap is for all science lovers (and novices) in the community. All ages are welcome. Beer is available for purchase for those 21+. And remember: Great questions get you a free beer!

Domesticated dogs can detect a variety of odors for a variety of purposes: illicit narcotics, explosives, human-scent tracking and identification, cancer, and COVID-19. Although we know a great deal about how a dog’s sense of smell functions, there are outstanding questions about how breeding has influenced a dog’s ability to gather scent and detect odor. Join Dr. Waldrop to spend the evening learning all about the powers of our canine companions.

NOTE: This event was originally scheduled for February 5th, but was postponed due to inclement weather.
