Professor Randy Busse, Ph.D. joined Chapman in 2003 after eight years at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and teaches in the M.A. School Counseling and Ed.S. School Psychology programs. He also has taught several doctoral classes and chaired or served on many Ph.D. in Education doctoral dissertation committees. He has served as the Hassinger Endowed Chair in Education since 2019 and served the University in several capacities as committee chair and member, with the most recent service on the IRB for five years and then five years on the Faculty Personnel Council with two as Chair. His research, writing, and presentations to the community include the topics of direct academic assessment, school-based consultation, single-case methods for assessing interventions, psychopharmacology with children, other-esteem, and selective mutism. Dr. Busse has provided pro-bono services for over 25 years for children with selective mutism.
