Professor Margaret Grogan, Ph.D., joined Chapman in 2015 as Dean until 2020, and teaches in the M.A. Leadership Development and Ph.D. Education programs. The college was named the Donna Ford Attallah College of Educational Studies in 2017, and Reeves Hall was reopened in 2018 following an extensive renovation. As dean, she launched new collaborations and initiatives including an ePrize (Education Prize), a partnership with Shanghai Normal University, and the Chapman Transfer Admission Guarantee (C-TAG). Dr. Grogan has mentored many students, teachers, and school administrators, and wrote articles, books, and chapters on educational leadership, women aspiring to the superintendency, and mentoring women into school leadership. As Professor of Educational Leadership and Policy, she has chaired or served on doctoral dissertation committees, and her recent expertise is in gender and education, the moral and ethical dimensions of leadership, and leadership for social justice.
