With Dr. Michael Robinson
SCIENCE ON TAP is a series of casual moderated discussions featuring experts who explore the intersection of science and culture. Science on Tap is for science lovers (and novices) in the community. All ages are welcome. Beer is available for purchase for those 21+.
Join us for the first Science on Tap of the semester with guest speaker Dr. Michael Robinson, Assistant Professor of Philosophy, where he will present his talk titled "Philosophy, Neuroscience, and Free Will."
Abstract:
“Answering scientific questions often requires answering some philosophical questions first. This is evident when considering recent empirical investigation into free will, but it holds true for many other areas of scientific inquiry as well. This is why it is so beneficial for philosophers and scientists to work together on these issues."
