We're back for round 2!
Join us at 7PM on Monday July 22nd at Chapman Crafted for an evening of reading, community, and conversation. This time we bring you the outstanding and inspirational Patrick O'Neil!
Patrick O'Neil is a former junkie bank robber and the author of the memoir Gun, Needle, Spoon. His writing has appeared in numerous publications, including Juxtapoz, Salon.com, The Fix, The Nervous Breakdown, and Razorcake. He is a contributing editor for Sensitive Skin Magazine, a Pushcart nominee, and a two time nominee for Best Of The Net. He holds an MFA from Antioch University Los Angeles, and is the co-coordinator for the Why There Are Words, Los Angeles reading series. For the past 18 years he has lived and worked in the recovery community as a recovering addict/alcoholic, a drug and alcohol counselor, a college instructor, and he is on the board of directors for REDEEMED, a California non-profit criminal record clearing project. O’Neil lives with his wife Jennifer, a rather large Maine Coon, and a squirrel, in Downtown Los Angeles.

Open Mic starts at 7pm. If interested in reading, email us at anastamos.cu@gmail.com. Please send a sample of the work you plan on reading. Readers will be given approximately 5 minutes of mic time.
