Dynamic public speaking inspired by TED Talks
Laura Scudder Conference Room, Roosevelt Hall 121
TED talks have revolutionized public speaking and created an entirely new online format. They’ve also elevated the expectations of audiences for public speakers.
Even if you have no plans to ever step onto a TED stage, effective public speaking techniques are critical, whether you are presenting at a conference, pitching to investors, meeting an agent, or giving a lecture.
In this interactive workshop, TEDx speaker coach Stephanie Weaver will reveal her approach to creating fresh, memorable talks that resonate with audiences.
She’ll teach you how to think like your audience, choose and build a storyline, mine personal narrative, add effective media, and use purposeful movement to ground your stage presence.
She’ll also share secrets on dealing with nerves, stage fright, and using rehearsal to craft your talk effectively.
