Science on Tap: "Uncovering Food Fraud" with Rosalee Hellberg, Ph.D.
This is the final event of the 2016-17 series. Join us! Open to ALL
Monday, March 20, 2017
6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. PST
Open to the public, ChapmanU Science on Tap is a series of casual moderated discussions featuring experts who explore the intersection of science and culture.
For our final event of the 2016-17 series, we'll be joined by Chapman professor Rosalee Hellberg, Ph.D. to talk about her work in uncovering food fraud. Rosalee will not only give an overview of food fraud, but also get into the history of food fraud (for example, the industrial revolution didn't help), types of foods that are commonly targeted for fraud (you'll be surprised), and what she's found in her most recent research (you might not be feeding your pet what you think you are).
ChapmanU Science on Tap is for science lovers (and novices) in the community who want to enjoy good beer, good food and fascinating conversation. Join us! We'll be gathering at one of our favorite spots: Provisions Market in Old Towne Orange.
