Science on Tap with Claudine Jaenichen
"From Lost to Found: Scientific modeling, mapping, and communicating tsunami risk to the public"
Tuesday, November 1, 2016
6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. PST
Open to the public, ChapmanU Science on Tap is a series of casual moderated discussions featuring experts who explore the intersection of science and culture.
For our November event, we'll be joined by Claudine Jaenichen to talk about communicating risk of natural disasters in what we're calling "From Lost to Found: Scientific modeling, mapping, and communicating tsunami risk to the public".
Claudine is associate professor of art and a Life Research Fellow for Communication Research Institute, Wayfinding for Disaster Planning.
ChapmanU Science on Tap is for science lovers (and novices) in the community who want to enjoy good beer, good food and fascinating conversation. Join us! We'll be gathering at one of our favorite spots: Provisions Market in Old Towne Orange.
Our full Science on Tap lineup for 2016-17 is below. Mark your calendar!
October 4, 2016: "I’m Not Just Wearing This for My Health: Wearable Tech" with Bruce Tromberg, Ph.D.
