The Cognitive Diversity Summit is a public interdisciplinary conference at Chapman and will explore the science of dyslexia which affects 1 in 5 people. There is increasing evidence that many people with learning differences have moved past their challenges to become some of the most successful creators, artists, entrepreneurs and thought leaders in the world.
This year's conference will feature many distinguished speakers including:
Larry L. Banks
Jonathan Mooney
Peggy Stern
Marcelo Suarez-Orozco
Mary Anne Wolf
There will be many speakers, panelists, educators, Chapman faculty, and resources and organizations on hand. This year’s Summit will highlight neuro-diversity, the strengths of the dyslexic mind, advocacy and action needed in California Education. It will be a coming together of scientists, educators, successful dyslexics (Chapman students and Faculty included), parents of dyslexics, and many more.
Last year's inaugural Summit was an incredible success with a waiting list and over 200 in attendance. Our panelists/speakers included Dr.Fumiko Hoeft, Jack Horner, Ben Foss and Richard Bausch.
