Writing Data Management Plans for Grant Proposals Using DMPTool
A Leatherby Libraries Workshop
Are you prepared for the upcoming changes in federal funding requirements? By the end of 2025, all federal agencies that support research will require a Data Management Plan (DMP) to accompany grant proposals. Some agencies, such as NSF and NIH, already require Data Management or Data Management and Sharing Plans. These documents outline the qualities of the data that will be collected, how it will be stored and protected, how and where it will be shared, and who will be responsible for managing the data.
Join us for an engaging workshop designed to equip you with the skills needed to craft effective DMPs that meet funder requirements. Whether you're new to the process or looking to refine your approach, this session covers everything you need to know about writing comprehensive Data Management Plans. This workshop will cover the basics of writing funder-required DMPs and using DMPtool.org, a resource to help format, fill, and collaborate on DMPs.
