Meet the Panelists:

Talia Goldstein is the President and Founder of Three Day Rule Matchmaking, an exclusive matchmaking company for busy professionals. Talia has been featured on various news outlets from NPR to Good Morning America to CNN. Leveraging her extensive network of incredible singles, Talia and her team of Matchmakers have successfully matched hundreds of clients, including top executives, entrepreneurs, and celebrities. With expert Matchmakers in many of the largest US metro areas, Three Day Rule's Matchmakers work one-on-one with clients to offer a curated dating experience and quality matches. 

Danae Lucas '08 (M.A. '09) is currently the Vice President of Quality at Yumi, a fast-growing company in the baby and toddler food industry.  Prior to her role at Yumi she was Vice President of Quality and Research & Development at Caulipower and has 14 years of experience working for food companies in Southern California in Director and Manager level roles.  Danae is a Chapman University alumni, completing both her B.S. and M.S. in Food Science there.  She has also taught and been a guest lecturer in the Food Science department at Chapman on several occasions, most recently as an Adjunct Professor of the graduate level Food Ingredients course.  She feels like she owes much of her success to the program and takes every opportunity to be involved in Food Science Department alumni events and mentoring opportunities for current and/or prospective students.  While completing her master's at Chapman her research on the inhibition of Listeria monocytogenes growth in a ready- to-eat meat product with the use of natural, pomegranate-based antimicrobials was published in the Journal of Food Protection.  
 
Faiza Shafiq is a physician trained from Pakistan moved to US 12 years ago. She pursued Clinical and Translational Research at University of California San Diego, Department of Dermatology for over a decade. Beginning as a Research Associate, Faiza's trajectory led her to the position of Director of Clinical Research Operations, where she played a pivotal role in numerous NIH-funded projects. She worked on several FDA regulated studies and obtained NDAs and INDs. She has been an author of more than 20 publications in highly peer reviewed journals such as Nature Medicine and JAMA Dermatology. Her love for Dermatology and Research landed her at Alastin in 2023 as a Director of Clinical Research where she has been involved in various ex-vivo and clinical studies. Her first achievement at Alastin was the successful launch of Alastin Skincare’s C-RADICAL Defense Antioxidant Serum. 

Meet the Moderator: 

Salma Zawawi (MBA '07)

Salma graduated with her MBA from Chapman University in 2007. She has served as a board member on the MBA Alumni Association since early 2017 and is responsible for creating the International Women’s Day event with the inaugural panel taking place in March 2019.  

Salma currently works as a Regional Sales Manager for Galderma in the Consumer division also serving on the prestigious Women’s Leadership Network within her organization. She has over 17 years of experience in the pharmaceutical sales industry and has worked for other Fortune 500 companies such as Allergan and Boehringer Ingelheim. In addition, Salma is an adjunct business professor and teaches on-line business classes at Santiago Canyon College. She has a passion for education and for up-lifting young learners and women in business.  

In addition to her commitment to the MBA Alumni Association, Salma is involved in community work through Children’s Hope International Literacy & Development and Afghan Refugee Relief. She resides in North Tustin with her husband and two children. In her spare time, she enjoys practicing yoga, skiing, traveling, community work and spending time with family and friends.
