Data Literacy is the ability to read, understand, create, and communicate data as information. It encompasses the skills to critically interpret data visualizations and statistics, understand data sources and structures, and create meaningful narratives from data.
This introductory workshop introduces the essential concepts of data literacy, including data types, summarizing data, and visualizing data. Participants will also critically evaluate how data can be used to mislead people. The session includes hands-on work with data in Excel 365.
