Writing Data Management Plans for Grant Proposals Using DMPTool
A Leatherby Libraries Workshop
This workshop will cover the basics of writing funder-required DMPs.
By the end of 2025, all federal agencies that fund research will require a Data Management Plan (DMP) to accompany grant proposals for research funding. Some agencies, such as NSF and NIH, already need Data Management or Data Management and Sharing Plans. These documents outline the qualities of the data that will be collected, how it will be stored and protected, how and where it will be shared, and who will be responsible for managing the data.
Attendees will learn how to use DMPtool.org, a resource that helps format, fill, and collaborate on DMPs.
