Seminar Speaker Series - Dr. Maliheh Ghajargar
More than Human Interaction Design
Climate change, loss of plant biodiversity and ocean pollution signal the drastic changes in our ecology that call us to attend to the needs of more than human forms of life on Earth. Sustainable design and HCI and more than human design research are responding to this call by offering methods and approaches to not only supporting more sustainable computing and design products, but also to enhance a sense of human-nature connectedness and its impact on the human and the planet health.
"In this research talk, I will be presenting several research projects that I have been conducting since my PhD dissertation that seek to explore the research question of how can we support reflections on human-nature connections through interaction design? I will discuss a more than human design and computing approach as well as the roles that AI technologies may play to support us to attend to the human-nature relationships for sustainability."
