Dr. Matt Bernhard is a research engineer with VotingWorks, a non-partisan, non-profit voting technology company. Dr. Bernhard's research has led to automated methods for detecting the manipulation of ballot images and in carrying out risk-limiting audits of elections. Most recently, Dr. Bernhard and VotingWorks carried out the full recount for the 2020 presidential contest in the state of Georgia.
