The Dyslexia Summit, a public interdisciplinary conference at Chapman, brings together out of the box thinkers such as Ben Foss, Dr. Fumeko Hoeft and Jack Horner. They will explore the science of dyslexia as well as spotlight the fact that many people who’ve been diagnosed with dyslexia have moved past their reading challenges to become some of the most successful creators, entrepreneurs and thought leaders in the world.
Speakers and Panelists will include:
- Ben Foss, Headstrong Nation Founder, and author of "The Dyslexia Empowerment Plan".
- Fumeko Hoeft, Associate Professor, UCSF Medical School
- Jack Horner, Paleontologist and MacArthur Prize Winner
- Richard Branson (taped welcome)
- Richard Bausch, Professor and award-winning author, Chapman University
- Daniele Struppa, Chancellor, Chapman University
- Margaret Grogan, Dean of the College of Educational Studies, Chapman University
- Micheal Spagna, Dean of the Michael D. Eisner College of Education, CSUN
- Claudia Koochek, Head of the Westmark School
- Jerry Price, Dean of Students, Chapman University
