What is Google’s Higher Education Product Session?

The Google for Education team is hosting free product sessions on campuses across the country. These product sessions aim to provide professional development around G Suite and augmented and virtual reality tools, with an emphasis on practical use cases in higher education.

The goals of these sessions are to:

  1. Introduce educators and staff to our products
  2. Inspire better use of these tools in instruction and daily workflow

What can I expect?

Participants will learn best practices for using Google solutions for immersive learning, improving collaboration, streamlining communication, and optimizing their workflows. We’ll cover a number of new initiatives, ranging from how campuses are using Google’s virtual and augmented reality platforms to provide students access to new experiences to the latest productivity and collaboration tools that promote interactive learning and improve student engagement. This event will be interactive, and attendees are encouraged to bring devices so they can participate and do hands-on practice.

Products we’ll cover include G Suite (including newer products like Course Kit, Jamboard, Hangouts Chat and Hangouts Meet) and Tour Creator, a tool that allows anyone to create an immersive virtual reality experience.
