Out of an abundance of caution, the Office of Church Relations at Chapman University announces the cancellation of the Founders Day celebration with guest speaker, Rev. Dr. William Barber II, on Saturday, Mar. 14. We apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment.

The Centers for Disease Control discourages large gatherings and has informed the University that persons over 60 are most at risk for COVID-19 (coronavirus).

There are no known cases of coronavirus at Chapman University and the risk of the disease within Orange County remains low according to our local public health agency, Orange County Health Care Agency.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Barber has agreed to a new speaking date, March 13, 2021. Please save the date.
