The Center for Creative and Cultural Industries Grand Opening
In the fall of 2018 the Creative and Cultural Industries Program at Chapman University launched the minor in CCI which saw several self-designed majors, and a burst of declared minors, leading to the more than doubling of the program’s offerings going into the 2019/20 academic year!
The Creative and Cultural Industries program has now entered the exciting second phase of growth, with the opening this fall 2019 of the Center for Creative and Cultural Industries. Housed within the Wilkinson College or Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, this is an exciting step because as a Center the CCI program will have more resources, opportunities and exposure, which will enable us to continue to grow the curriculum, and increase opportunities for students the areas of research, internships, course offerings, visiting researchers and individualized education.
The Grand Opening celebration to mark the center’s opening will take place on November 19th at 11:30am, at the Center for CCI’s location: 428 N. Glassell. Refreshments will be served, and CCI Director, Dr. Patrick Fuery will say a few words to mark the occasion as well as to honor Mrs. and Mr. Karen and Joe Moderow for their generous support of the Creative and Cultural Industries Initiative.
