One day humans may live on Mars.  Besides traveling safely to Mars, efforts are being made to determine how humans will survive on Mars once they get there. By examining geological and biological processes on Earth, new discoveries including how to protect and support life on Mars are being made.  These discoveries may also provide benefits for how humans may live better on Earth.  Dr. Oze will discuss both the problems and potential solutions pertaining to the human habitation of Mars with topics ranging from construction to agriculture.

Dr. Christopher Oze is an Associate Professor in Geology at Occidental College
