Join us for an information session regarding the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Cup competition on November 15 at 5:45 p.m. in Beckman 401. The information session will be led by Jim Scheinkman a member of ACG and a Partner in the firm of Snell and Wilmer working in the area of Mergers & Acquisitions.
The ACG Cup is a case study competition designed to give students from leading graduate business programs across the country real world experience and invaluable insights into mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, financial advisory and private equity. The competition is carried out through a series of intra-school and regional competitions, with regional winners awarded the prestigious ACG Cup title and cash awards. This is sponsored by ACG, an organization of professionals in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, investment banking and finance.
The actual competition takes place in Feb-March first with an internal competition to determine our Chapman team and then the inter-school competition which will be hosted this year by the Argyros School of Business and Economics.
Last year, Chapman took first place in the competition among 11 schools which included UCLA, USC and UCI. We are looking for a repeat this year!
This is a great experience for those of you who are interested in finance, particularly investment banking and private equity. In addition to a great learning experience, the competition gives you access to professionals in the investment world.
Please let Debra know if you would like to attend the information session by Tuesday, November 13, end of day.
