Ever wonder how other faculty members teach? What their classrooms are like? How it feels to be a student in class today, specifically at Chapman?

We have 30 different courses in a variety of disciplines for faculty members to choose to visit during IETL’s Faculty Open Classroom Initiative (FOCI). This non-evaluative, voluntary program is aimed at making teaching more transparent at the undergraduate and graduate levelsClasses are available any day during FOCI Week and at a variety of times and locations on the Orange Campus.

Participation is open to all current full-time and part-time faculty members. Rinker Campus colleagues are encouraged to visit their Orange Campus colleagues during this cycle; Rinker Campus will have its FOCI Week this fall.

In appreciation for their participation in FOCI, all faculty hosts and visitors will receive two (2) complimentary lunch tickets to the Faculty Athenaeum in Argyros Forumand we will have a FOCI Closing Celebration on Wednesday, April 18 from 4:00-5:30 p.m. in the Faculty Athenaeum for faculty participants to connect and share their experiences.
