FOCI: Faculty Open Classroom Initiative
Connect with colleagues.
Connect with content.
Connect with the Chapman student’s classroom experience.
This spring, the IETL’s Faculty Open Classroom Initiative (FOCI) will promote shared understandings about teaching and learning across Chapman’s Orange campus by encouraging faculty members across disciplines to visit their colleagues’ classes.
This non-evaluative, voluntary classroom visitation program aims to have faculty members
- connect with one another as teaching colleagues,
- engage with content that is outside of their teaching assignments, and
- gain perspective on the Chapman student experience in a variety of classroom and disciplinary settings.
All classroom visits will occur between Wednesday, April 11 and Tuesday, April 17.
