Summit Career Institute: Career Preparation Certificate Program
Session 1
This is your chance to become one of Chapman's top-notch career certificate program students! Employer partners KNOW that Summit Career Institute students are the 'best of the best,' because they are polished, prepared and know what it takes to be successful in a professional setting. Come hear lessons directly from successful Chapman Board members, alumni and industry leaders. They'll prepare you to land the job you've always wanted.
Through presentations and interactive activities led by industry leaders, University stakeholders, and one-on-one meetings with career advisors, participants will develop business and leadership skills that prepare them for professional success. Topics covered include:
• student success stories and advice
• first impressions
• navigating resources to improve employability
• thriving in the workplace
• personal branding
• salary negotiation
• leadership and the big picture
Students that successfully complete the program requirements receive a certificate of completion and invitations to exclusive networking opportunities, including Chapman's Certified Student & Employer Mixer at the end of each semester.

The Fine Print: Please note that this is a 8-session course with outside assignments and plan accordingly.
