UPB Presents Spring Speaker: Shiza Shahid
UPB is proud to announce that this year’s Spring Speaker is Shiza Shahid! She is the CEO and Co-founder of the Malala Fund.
Shiza will discuss topics like the extraordinary impact we can create, advancing women’s empowerment, and integrating purpose into your business.
She works to help women all over the world get access to an education, advance gender equality, and educate people about entrepreneurship. While Shiza was attending Stanford, she watched a documentary about Malala, who was 11 years old at the time, and was inspired by her story. She reached out to Malala and organized a summer camp for her and other girls that focused on empowerment. A couple years later in 2012, after Malala was shot, Shiza helped organize the Malala fund and spread her message of female empowerment and leadership.
Doors to Memorial Hall open at 6:30 p.m. Reserve your ticket atchapman.universitytickets.
