Of Times and Perspectives

From self-taught to formally trained, the five living Vietnamese overseas composers of five different generations exhibit compelling musical expressions. Starting with solo harp, solo clarinet, symphonic songs and percussion concerto, the show climaxes in dramatic scenes of Thị Kính, Thị Mầu and Thị Mõ —the iconic female characters in the opera The Tale of Lady Thị Kính. In turn, they represent kindness, love and wisdom.
