A SECULAR FEAST
In this joint concert, the 30-voice University Singers will perform a program of secular Italian choral works of Claudio Monteverdi and William Hawley as well as Eric Whitacre’s dramatic "choral scene" Leonardo Dreams of His Flying Machine.
The University Choir consisting of 50 mixed voices will sing works by two contemporary composers, Canadian Stephen Chatman and Shawn Kirchner of the United States. Also included will be folk songs of Japan and Ireland as well as Georges Bizet’s Valse avec choir.
