Meet Authors of La Kloakada
Enric Mallorquí-Ruscalleda and Sandra Pérez Preciado
Friday, November 18, 2016
6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. PST
This is the second book-length study of the Peruvian literary and artistic movement called Kloaka. Kloaka was founded in Lima (Peru) in the eighties and pursued to produce a poetic and artistic revolution to fight against the Peruvian establishment by exploring, for example, the roots of Andean Quechua culture through the “tradition of rupture”. The volume features contributions by the Kloaka founders, such as Peruvian poets Mariela Dreyfus and Roger Santiváñez, other protagonists of the movement and from world-class scholar experts on the movement.
