This course will provide an overview of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy.  

Objectives:

Participants will be introduced to the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model and the types of targets accessed during EMDR therapy. 

Participants will be introduced to the Eight-Phase Protocol of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy will be described and discussed.

Participants will be introduced to the three-pronged approach, past, present and future, used to assist the client in reaching adaptive resolution of the trauma.
